I've used CDW in some past purchases, so I tried them. This is on top of the idea now that I need to purchase through a "partner".
I'm dead in the water for moving forward, so I guess I'll be moving to something else. The logins to some systems that should give me menus give me useless "You successfully logged in" pages with no navigation or links. The only info that I seem to get online ( ) makes no reference to SBE at all. I'm getting reminder emails from SPN.com that licenses expire on May 14, so I don't trust anything I've been told or am being told by Broadcom/Symantec.
I've tried serial numbers for Site ID (which I found a reference should be usable), but no luck. There are broken links on the portal (like "Contact Us"), Links to support get me the Broadcom "Support" Portal where I can log in, but I'm unable create a case for support (without a Site ID). All that I've gotten and been able to do is now log into the old portal via the new Broadcom/Okta logins. Yes, I was told there would be "free upgrade" to SES and more information forthcoming on that (none so far). I administer a small (9 license) SBE install. Symantec is committed to keeping you and your business secure by continually delivering innovations to Symantec Endpoint Security and helping to keep your business safe from ever-changing threats.
We recommend that you install your free upgrade as soon as you receive instructions so you can take advantage of the expanded security capabilities within SES. Effective, SEP Cloud and SEP SBE services will no longer be available, and your devices will no longer be protected if you don’t transition to SES.
We’ll send you your free upgrade and instructions on how to transition from your version of SEP Cloud or SEP SBE to SES.
Reach out to your partner and we’ll work with you both to get you what you need. That said, we will allow sales until, if you have a unique situation that warrants a short-term solution.
With endpoint threats continually changing, it's important that you run the latest, most up-to-date cyber security solutions possible for all your endpoints.
80% Increase in iOS and Android vulnerabilities.Endpoint Security is moving beyond malware. One big shift we have seen is in securing endpoints like laptops, mobile phones, servers, and cloud workloads. Here's the email I just got:Īs the global cyber security leader, the Symantec Enterprise Division of Broadcom is constantly monitoring cyber security changes that could impact our customers. Probably a price increase? Probably time to get around to ditching Symantec all together.
Looks like they are no longer selling licenses for Symantec.Cloud (SBE) and the full SEP Cloud products and they will stop working on Nov 2nd, 2020.
